The Giriteka Center, located in the city of Ngozi in Burundi, was born to help orphans and abandoned children after the terrible civil war among hutu and tutsi that struggled the country between the year 1993 and 2005.
Synopsis
The film tells the story of the Giriteka Center, located in the city of Ngozi in Burundi. The country experienced a terrible civil war that lasted more than a decade between 1993 and 2005, pitting the two main ethnic groups, Hutu and Tutsi, against each other. Among the consequences of the war is the huge number of children left orphaned or abandoned. The Giriteka Center was established to try to take these children off the streets and offer them love, an education and the possibility of a future.
